SA Civil Works was engaged to deliver bored pier foundations at St Monica’s Parish School. During excavation, the team encountered significant groundwater ingress, requiring adaptive on-site solutions to ensure structural integrity and safe completion of works.
To manage these conditions, a vacuum truck was deployed to continuously control groundwater levels throughout excavation and concrete placement. This allowed the team to maintain dry, stable conditions for reinforcement installation and concrete pours, preventing potential defects and ensuring the foundations were constructed to specification.
Despite the challenging subsurface environment, SA Civil Works successfully completed the works safely and efficiently, maintaining strong coordination with site stakeholders and minimising disruption to the school environment.
